Boyfriend Stuff
I’ve been grumpy today. The simplest things annoyed me easily. No, I don’t have my period yet. I just have these mood swings sometimes every month and they usually mean I have my period or I will have my period or… something else. One of the reasons why I’ve been annoyed all day, I still can’t figure out how to transfer my JS-Kit comments on Wordpress and I gave up! I won’t rant about it anymore! ‘Coz ranting and whining about it made me yell at my boyfriend a while ago. . . but we’re okay now.

In other news, I have a subdomain already! I encourage my boyfriend (he’s also the admin of this forum called Vindicta that I’m also a member of) to go for his webcomic idea ‘coz I think he’s really good, and even offered him a subdomain ‘coz he doesn’t have his own yet. And yesterday, it’s finally up and running! Yehey! I even told him I’d promote his webcomic on this site. He already wrote his first blog post, In-Game Pre-Emptive Strike! His site is still new so there’s not much to see yet. Below are some of his awesome sketches.
A while ago I checked out his other works and even tried coloring some of them using Photoshop. The comic strips were really funny and I hope he’d put his works on his site soon. You see, I’m a very supportive girlfriend. =D
I hope you guys would visit him sometime and also, if you do visit him, can I ask you a favor? Please tell him, “Dada loves you…”— hehe. XD

Haha! Galing talaga ni Charles magdrawing. Nung inivite namin sha para mag-emcee, during the meeting nun.. he was doodling. He even taught me tips on shadowing sa mga characters. Hehe! Will visit his site after I post this comment!

When he gets a webcomic or two up, there are a few promotion options for getting an audience (you probably know about all this stuff already, but just in case):
- Stumbleupon: this is probably the best option (I see you use multiply, which is pretty much the same thing); it’s a toolbar that attaches to your browser with “thumbs-up/thumbs-down” buttons, and a “random” button. A lot of users use the random button, and the thumbs-up/thumbs-down buttons send content to the “random” button. The community there loves rich visuals; his colored sketches would be most welcome.
- Digg or Reddit: when you have a few fans who are willing to vote up stuff, submitting at these places and making sure your fans have accounts and vote is a must.
- Facebook: starting a group after a few webcomics are published can’t hurt. Really.
- deviantart: it’s a great community, I know you’re aware of that, but they stay glued to the site. Still, can’t hurt.
Twitter can really help one’s cause when starting out, too. I stopped using it almost entirely because for what I write and do, it’s doesn’t quite fit: I demand more attention than most Twitterers care to give. But it can work very well with certain types of content, and it is easy to get a big following fast.
That’s all I can think of right now, and my apologies that some of it is redundant. I’m learning as I go along too. btw, thanks for the plug-in advice; I don’t plan on putting up ads, but I’m always eager to know about what works and what doesn’t.

Ah I know what you mean. I get these mood swings where like one minute I’m all happy when another minute I’m like pissed off. But usually it happens at school.
