This Is A Nightmare
God can take everything away from you in an instant. Ondoy destroyed our home, our belongings, our fancy cars… everything. It was raining so hard and didn’t stop. The flood started from the basement. The water was rising really, really fast. Then it reached the ground, second and third floor in no time. It was like the Titanic sinking. We didn’t know what to do.
While we were trying to save our expensive things, we forgot to save some food. But all our things got swallowed by the flood anyway because we couldn’t escape our house if we were carrying too much stuff.
When the flood already reached our top floor, we had to destroy some windows so we could get to the roof before we could get trapped inside the house and drown. We escaped through an aircon slot in the master’s bedroom. When we were already on the roof, we watched our things get destroyed inside.
It was really devastating. Below are pictures taken after the flood.

Wow. That’d be pretty scary. We have stuff like that happen in North Carolina. :/ Stupid floods. I’m really attached to my belongings, so I’d probably die if my stuff got ruined. X( The most important thing is that you and your family are okay.

i saw the pics on your facebook account sis, grabe talaga ang ginawa ni Ondoy sa marikina noh?! lately ko lang nalaman na taga provident ka pala, i’ve heard na marami na ata ang aalis sa provident? is it true? naku pag nagkataon magiging ghost town na talaga ang provident, which is wag naman sana.

It did also flood on our home I got mental block I didn’t know what to save mostly things got saved some are wet, not destroyed I was lucky I thank God somehow for that
That’s really sad. Seeing the things you work hard being destroyed and you just standing there, knowing that you can do nothing. Cheer up now sis! God may take away something from you but it will have a better replacement.
