This is not an SP, just so you know guys. A friend of mine invited me to join this MLM company. It costs 8,900 PHP to join according to my research. That’s quite a huge amount I say, not that I can’t afford it ‘coz my current job pays well, but I could buy a lot of groceries already with 8.9K. Before I join something I have to invest money into, I want to know first if it’s my money’s worth, I mean, doesn’t everybody else?
I’ve read blogs and reviews about GFI, and so far, there’s not much to complain about aside from the fact that the investment is kinda huge. I’ve also read negative things, not really pointing at GFI, but on MLM companies and networking in general, because they have already become synonymous with pyramid scam.
The thing with networking is, it’s easy to grow and it’s also easy to earn, especially if the company is new and you’re the pioneering agents. And I admit that I’m really tempted to join because, I don’t wanna get stuck with a constant salary. I want more. I wanna be able to spend without worrying if I’d have enough money left. I wanna be able to get my own place (Yeah, I still live with my parents). I’ve thought of this as an opportunity, but I’m still doubting. But I’ll never know what GFI is like if I don’t check it out myself.
I was invited to attend the seminar, but I didn’t give an answer yet. Not that I don’t trust the company or my friend, but I just want to be cautious, and also, I wanna know what the others have to say first before I give my final decision.
Yeah. I’m a call center agent. I’m a technical support rep for TVs. Last week was one of those weeks that working in customer service makes you hate humans who live in the other side of the planet so much.
Spending the days… err… nights helping customers correct the mistakes they have done on the TVs they bought that they don’t even know how to use properly, makes me hate my job sometimes. And after all the troubleshooting, and doing everything I could to fix their TV, it would end up as a service issue then I’d have to tell these customers…
“I’m sorry ma’am/sir, apparently this is an issue we can’t resolve over the phone and the best that I can do for you right now is to refer you to an authorized service center of Sony…” and when the TV is out of warranty I’d add, “…and the repair cost will be at your expense” and then… BOOM! The customer suddenly rants and yells some profanity at me.
“WHAT THE HELL? I’M NOT GONNA PAY FOR THE REPAIR! I can’t believe Sony can do this to their customers! I have a lot of Sony products in our house! And this is what you’re gonna do to me? What kind of technical support are you if you can’t even fix my damn TV? I WANNA TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR!”
I’d take a deep breath and tell the customer, “Mr. /Ms. (insert customer’s last name), our supervisors are busy taking in other calls right now. I understand that you’re upset sir/ma’am, but I hope you understand that these things do happen because your TV is still just a machine. It can’t heal on it’s own, and right now, the best we can do is to have it checked by a service technician. Now, once we have determined the exact issue of the TV, feel free to call us back so we can provide you with other options” <—One way of ending a call without escalating to a supervisor. Hehehe.
Then the asshole would say, “I’m sorry for yelling at you darlin’. Please don’t think that I’m angry at you ‘coz I know you’re just doin’ your job, Rose.”
But of course, my customers are not annoying all the time. I also get good calls. I had some irate callers from the start of the call but then I was able to pacify them. But sometimes if it’s a really bad call, I tend to do some bullshit to these customers and unleash the evil in me. I’d save these stories on my next posts. That’s it for now okay? I still have to meet my boyfie later. Ciao! =D
I won’t make an intro post about this anymore because for sure a lot of other people have blogged about New Year already so I’ll just get on with what I wanna say. . .
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
Now that 2009’s over, here are some things I want to accomplish for this year:
Grow my hair —Actually my hair’s already up to my shoulders. I’ll post pics when its longer.
Finish Architecture—Or not yet, because I’m not ready to go back to school at this time. I got a lotta things to do and I’m too busy with work. I need to help my family financially (refer to this post so you’ll know what I’m talking about).
Earn lots of cash from my work and from this website—I won’t spend too much from now on.
Start my own business from the cash I’ll be earning —I’m currently thinking of a good concept for this. I’m planning to promote my business here once I’ve finished planning, so stay tuned.
Buy a new camera —I’m planning to get a Canon EOS 1000D, but it costs PHP 34,645.00 if purchased from Canon. Maybe I’ll just look for a comparable or better DSLR model in Raon and purchase it at a cheaper price.
Get a Rose Tattoo —I’m planning to put a tattoo behind my shoulders. Me and my bro are scheduled on the 15th for this.
Have fab abs —I’ve gained a few pounds during the holidays. Starting today, I won’t eat rice until I get the body shape that I want, and I’ll start working out again. And for your info guys, I’m not fat. I just wanna be sexy—er. Hahaha!
Speaking of abs, 3 months from now, it’s summer again! I wanna show off for the summer so I really need the body for it! Argh! I wanna wear sexy swimsuits and awesome summer outfits. So watch out for the new me this summer! LOL.
I really hope this year’s going to be a great year. =D

Do you know any place where I can buy a cheap DSLR camera?
Do you think I’ll lose weight before summer comes?
